what does cache do for gaming

cache size will affect gaming as it does everything else. the cache is used similar to Ram, except the Cache is Multiple Times faster then Ram. i dont remember but for example it probably something like 10x times faster then Ram, maybe more.
Its another peice of the puzzel, im not shur how much the Cache itself would affect gaming... but it all add's up when operating together with the system.

CPU cache is like a very small amount of RAM for the CPU. The lower the level the faster it will be, and most likely the smaller. To a certain extent the more cache = the better. If you have ever wondered whats the difference between a p4 and a celeron clocked at the same speed...... Its the cache.
L1 is faster than L2, and L2 is faster than L3 cache.
L1 is faster than L2, and L2 is faster than L3 cache.
