that leaves 250+ whatever my 6600gt/jetway mobo sell for, which should be enough for the 7900gt. Anyone think my 6600gt/jetway mobo will go for over $150? only been used for 2 months tops.
Ive got the psu and mobo sitting here in my newegg cart, all I gotta do is send payment. Justwwaiting on what others think of the PSU before I buy it.
ya it does cost more, i figured thats why he went for the 7900gt.
but in terms of performance difference.. i think it is a lot..
7900gt competes more with x1800xt.. (which.. i guess is pretty close to x1900xt.. hehe..)
Who cares just get over it dang.So what it not really a fact of performance just their quality.Nvidia has fewer problems and ATI doesnt have the best track record as far as drivers. The only ATI card I had was a Radeon 7000 about 8 years ago .Nothing but problems then I switched to a Nvidia card and never went Back.

the single 7900 GT will perform better. it has 24 pixel pipelines.
the 7600 GT has 12 pixel pipelines, but SLI does not give twice the performance. only about 1.5 times on average.
ordered the OCZ psu and the dfi lanparty mobo last night.
Ordering the 7900gt right after I sell my 6600gt/jetway mobo.
thanx for all your help guys
looking at those charts, the 7900gt just gets stompted But that was when the resolutions were really really high. The highest reolution my screen lets me go is 1280x1024. yes, its an old shitty dell monitor.
