Running two different audio sources simultaneously

I've searched a lot and can't find any results so I'm asking it here now!

I'm looking to run the DAW ableton with a video simultaneousy and need to hear both the inputs and outputs of ableton with the audio of the video in windows media player. At the moment all I can hear is ableton when it is running with no audio from the video whilst they are both open. Running windows 7 with IDT HD sound
