No disrespect but we need as many details as possible, the more we have the more we can help. That said, it is likely to be a driver thing if you are sure everything is connected.
I agree with Oreo, it's probably your audio driver or a setting in the Audio Control Panel. If we had the slightest idea of what mobo or sound card your using we "might" be able to be more specific.
