I have been advised that there are tools that one can use to find your ranking on google. Has anyone here used such tools and could you recommend any?

You can also check: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ however keep in mind that Google Privacy Policy doesn't encourage web sites to use automated software to check rankings...

you can use very simple google toolbar,yahoo toolbar, alexa toolbar and for mor go to google and type free seo tools
