Php is an acronym obviously and its an acronym for Hypertext Preprocessor. This language is used in a way that the server rececnises what imbeded into the php code first so the client will always see whats on the site before a white page and a thing saying 10 image downloading! Much of its syntax is borrowed from C, Java and Perl with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown in. The goal of the language is to allow web developers to write dynamically generated pages quickly.
