office serial number

Hello,

I have an organization of 200 computers, almost all of them with office 2007/2010/2013 i wanted to know, is there any way to collect all the serial numbers
with ought going to each station and copy it ?

Nope sorry, the serial number are only on the cases, and not encoded into the OS of the machines. If they are Dell machines, the Service tag is shown in the BIOS of each machine, but even that is stand alone.

You'll probably need to go to each workstation and run a program such as Magical Jelly Bean keyfinder to be able to get the license key for Office on each of those computers.

Looks like they have a paid-program called RecoverKeys that can scan remote machines. It's linked on their page for MJB.

Yes, a Multi-Activation Key agreement would be the best solution for his case. Then he could use the VAMT (Volume Activation Management Tool) to keep track of all of the activations.

Would be cheaper in the long run to get a multi-activation license .

But I know what you mean... most companies consider IT unnecessary expense because they don't directly bring money in like a sales department does. But IT is the one who keeps the sales department up and running with phones/computers/etc. and they don't realize that lol.
