New windows always open on the wrong monitor

I've been running duel monitors for a couple weeks now, and I must say it's a godsend... in general. One thing that really gets to me is that there's seemingly no way to control which screen a new window opens in. It seems to always be the one that will annoy me most. Technically , I think its which ever one had the last active window in it.

Is there anyway to change or control this?

I'm running W7 x64 home premium btw.

For me everything opens on the primary screen, or the one it was on last.

^ Yep, make sure to set your primary monitor.
Then if needed reset windows positioning data with CCleaner or something

If something opens on the "wrong" screen, hit the resize button, drag it to the correct screen, then maximize it there. I run into the same thing as stuff tends to open wherever it was the last time I closed it.

Minimize, drag to primary monitor, close it while minimized and it'll reopen on primary monitor.
