new computer can't access others

I recently just built a new desktop computer, and I am now trying to access my laptop through the home network. Both are connected to the network and the internet, and I can see each of them on the network. However, when I try to access my laptop with the new desktop, I get an error saying "Windows cannot access \\laptop", and an error code 0x80070035 "The network path was not found." But my laptop can access the new desktop no problem. When I run diagnostics, it says troubleshoot couldn't identify the problem. I've tried typing in the ip address of my laptop, but that still won't work. Soooo WTF???

Turn your windows firewall off on both machines.

Can your laptop connect to your desktop? Instead of vice versa.

Laptop can access desktop. Desktop cannot access laptop. Which makes no sense.

Same workgroup? Can you ping it?

Well somehow the problem fixed itself when I restarted the desktop. Now everything works fine. Weird. Ha thanks anyways.
