Is there any sort of adaptor I could buy to be able to run PC led strips and cold cathodes off the UK mains? I know I could use an old PC power supply but I'd like something a bit more professional and I'd rather not make my own cable using a 12V adaptor as I want it to be safe lol. The reason for this is I want to put some lights behind the grills of my speakers but dont want the pc to have to be on for the lights to work, so I need some way of running cathodes/led strips off of the uk mains by some sort of molex to mains adaptor/transformer. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

I found this http://www.xpcgear.com/ac4pin.html but its not UK, but gives an idea of what I'm looking for

I'm sure you could hack something together using a laptop power supply and the schematics of a molex. Either that or buy something like the thing you linked to and just replace the kettle cord with a UK mains one

You could use a uATX PSU or something? Just butcher a switch together to "jump-start" it
