Making apps

Hello all. I am new to this site, but I was wondering if anybody had any good suggestions for someone wanting to create apps and study app design for both android and apple. I have some good ideas, but I am not super tech savvy and I would just like to really start studying, dig into and practice the subject itself. I am an artist, and I love to draw and paint, and recently I have been using software to practice art so unlike many of you, I am quite a bit of a noob about online tech.

Any general suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know if it's possible to learn by yourself (cause normally people need 4 years in university). However, if you're determined enough, you can do that. It also introduced some convenient app maker in case thing does work out with your hand made apps.
