iPhone problems

Earlier, my wife had iPhone and recently she got a new Samsung S5 Galaxy phone. Before switching to Samsung, she disabled iMessage service from her iPhone navigating through Settings and tapping on 'Messages' to OFF position.Now she is happy to have her new phone.

Yea you should just need to turn off iMessage: settings > iMessage > on/off

iMessage will send and receive messages from other Apple users through any data service. Deactivate your iPhone from your Apple account or turn off Wifi and cell data.

Yes, Right idea....

Infact I have an impression that manytimes, people switch from iPhone to Andoid and vice versa (i.e. Android to iPhone) the simple thing is to resolve this issue is to deactivate that Apple account.
