Did some hunting on this issue before coming here, and was surprised to find little/no information on it. It annoys the heck out of me, so I know others have run into--and gotten annoyed at--the same IE8 pitfall.
When using an accelerator (any accelerator, from what I can tell) in Windows Internet Explorer 8, the new tab that gets opened always insists on bumping itself to the foreground. It will not open in the background like all other new tabs, despite the "Always switch to new tabs when they are created" option being unchecked. A minor annoyance, true, but a hassle just the same. Has anyone come across a solution or a patch, or something that will make accelerator tabs comply with the desired settings like the rest of them? Thanks in advance for any thoughts/assistance.
