I have been arguing with myself for quite some time on which Graphics card to get and i always change my mind at the last second. Im taking a vacation for a week and promised myself i would get a card as soon as i got back so any help anyone can give me would be very helpful.

I was stuck between the 4770 and the 5670.

4770 - Newegg.com - XFX HD-477A-YDFC Radeon HD 4770 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

5670 - Micro Center - Asus Radeon HD 5670 1024MB PCIe 2.1 x16 Graphics Card

i couldnt pick which so if anyone has any opinions they would be immensly helpful.

Also if you can think of even better cards at about the 100-120 price range i would love to hear about those to.

Between the both, I would go for the 2nd card (5670). It's a more up to date card, also only for a few more bucks and you might get a better boost in performance if noticeable. -This is just my opinion.

On the info from the thread stating the cards, seems like the 5670 didn't even make the list and the 4770 is pretty high on the list.

^ the list just needs some more updating, but you're right, the 5670 isn't on there yet but by what reviews show, it would probably end up ranked somewhere in the low 30's.

out of those 2 card, the 4770 would be the better card but not by much.

but in that price range, a 4850 would probably be a better choice.
Newegg.com - POWERCOLOR AX4850 1GBD3-PH Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
although it does not support dx11 like the 5670, so if you want 4850 performance w/ support for dx11, you could spend some more on a 5750.

It doesn't matter. They both get the job done. Hdmi can carry your audio too though if you connect your card to it internally. And yeah, +1 to the 4850/5750 suggestion.

do dvi to hdmi adapters work well or is it better just to get hdmi to hdmi?

I use a DVI-to-HDMI adapter. Never seen a noticeable difference between integrated HDMI and DVI adapters.

ATI's cards have built in audio support, so no need for internal SDPIF cables.

If you want audio over DVI-to-HDMI you HAVE to make sure you have a proper adapter, it's "ATI Proprietary," or else you'll get headaches. I went through this with my 9800GT a few months back, used the ATI DVI adapter, and all was fine (Had to hook up a SPDIF header, since Nvidia doesn't have audio support on their graphics card, at least at that time).

ok i was looking at the reviews for the 5750 and saw that the 64 bit drivers werent vry good. i have 64 bit windows 7 ultimate and was just wondering offhand if anyone knew if the drivers have been fixed
