Awkward moment when...

Hello techies!
I am running an FTP server for myself, my family, and my friends to store files on. I set it up about two weeks ago, and it's been running pretty smoothly since then, except for one problem. When I go to connect to the server, I get an error message stating "Cannot read remote folder "/"." ONLY when I attempt to connect from the same AP that the file server is using.

For example, on my smartphone, I can access the server through 3G, 4G, and my neighbor's wifi, but not through my own. On my home network, I made several connection attempts using the internal IP, the external IP, and the no-ip domain name that I have registered, all to no avail. The external IP and domain name both work when connecting from somewhere else (obviously not the internal IP. =P), and I'm getting frustrated.

Is there a solution that one of you can suggest, is there more information that you might need to come to a solution, or am I pretty much just crap-outta-luck?

Done so already. No dice.

From my smartphone (andriod FTP client) and laptop (FileZIlla client) over wifi, and sometimes over ethernet from my laptop.
Ethernet fails every time, wifi only fails when I'm connecting from the same AP as the server is on.

Are they all remoting to the same directory? Any error messages or statuses other than just "Cannot read remote folder "/"."?
View the logs on the server and see if you see anything out of the ordinary after an internal connection.

Yes, Fargle, they rout to the same directory.
I have no idea if it's my router, nor how I could check.
