Dvd-Rw issues

I have a sony DRX-530UL and it makes a loud hissing noise whenever i try to insert a disk into it. does anybody know why this is?

1) might be dirty, get a CD cleaning kit

2) laser might be on the blink, sometimes it hisses when it's trying to focus.

3) it might just be on its way out, or old.

4) sometimes they work perfectly fine but noisily, just depends on how good the drive is.
