just wondering can it run oblivion at a decent setting?

its a mac book pro, but I have windows xp in it.

It will run it, but not great. You can forget anything above medium settings at best.

You need at least a gig of RAM for it to run decent, but even then your graphics are gonna be a bottleneck. While you're upgrading the RAM, go ahead and max it out if you can. Odss are it can handle 2 gig, but check your specs before you buy.

If you can upgrade the ram to 2gb you'll have yourself a nice gaming laptop.

You can run it.

If I can run it on a 2.6GHz P4 w/ 512MB RAM, an FX5200 and running off of an image of the DVD on a virtual drive, you can run it ez. (It didn't run very well, just so you know, lol)

You will need more RAM to run it well. Expect to run it at low/medium settings.

It'll run on low/medium settings, I agree you'll want at least 1gb of ram if not two. Get two if you plan to do a fair amount of gaming.
