Asus Prime B350-PLUS AMD DDR4 S-ATA 600 ATX Motherboard

Hi,
I am about to buy a new motherboard and processor. I have chosen the motherboard which is an Asus Prime B350-PLUS AMD DDR4 S-ATA 600 ATX Motherboard and I am wondering if I can use an AMD Athlon X4 950 CPU with it. I know that the socket is am4 on both but I was just wondering since I have only seen it used with ryzen processors.
