The PC is linked to the network yes but iam just trying to install the printer to this specific pc as it will only be used by this pc, so i dont really understand how being networked affects it?

I first tried it on LPT1 and still came up with same error, thought it was a problem with the port so i installed a PCI Parallel card(LPT2) and the same error appears. Everything is connected properly, latest driver installed... printer is on before someone asks that. Any other suggestions pls?
