Hello there! I've purchased recently a fan for my laptop and replaced it. The old one was broken and no longer functional(worked very slow and sounded bad), it would've started at random times when my pc was on for many hours or just playing a heavy game but after some time it stopped working completly. I'm very sure I've placed the new one correctly but it just doesn't start. I went into the UEFI and restored the settings to default but it might be because of a faulty motherboard?

try opening up your laptop, make sure the fan is plugged in properly and the fan is not binding on anything to prevent it from rotating.
But i opened my laptop and placed the fan myself. The fan is just never starting and I'm pretty sure it's plugged in correctly.
