You only need 1 licence per house, but if you're going to university and you're taking a tv, you will need one.

I don't mind paying 130 bucks for a headset that will work on X360, PC, and PS3 as well. Take the 30 bucks that I'm selling my current headset for and it will only cost me 90 bucks.
