Xbox 360, USB hard drive

I just got an 1TB usb hard drive to use with my Xbox 360

i have the new dashboard, with the option to save games to your hard drive in order to speed up game loading screens,

so i was wondering if there is any way that i can use my USB external hard drive to save my games and game saves onto, because currently it only coming up as a portable device that i can play music and videos off

You can never save any Xbox system data (whether games, Xbox Live content, game add-ons, downloaded videos, system files, saves, etc) to an external USB hard drive. You can only save this stuff to the Xbox hard drive. The biggest one you can get is 120GB.

You can't use external drives for game saves or installs. Only Xbox 360 hard drives and memory cards. You can use that hard drive to play any music, video, or view picture files on your 360, but you can't save stuff from the 360 onto it.

Also the external hdd must be formatted to FAT32.
