WoW running not as smooth after WotLK patch

So after getting the big new patch a couple days ago, I have noticed that my computer does not run WoW as smoothly as it used to. Previously on my setup, I was running at 1680x1050 with all sliders max and 1x multisampling. I would get 60fps 24/7 except in Shat ect. Now in wide open areas in which my fps would never drop, I am now dipping bewtween 30 and 60 quite a bit. Did they do some kind of overhaul to the graphics? Because I don't notice much of a difference if they did and it sure wasn't worth the drop in fps imo.

They implemented some more shadow options. Might try turning those down.

Yeah I turned the shadow slider all the way down. Helped a little but still isn't as smooth as before.

It seems you'll just have to hold out untill they re patch it, unless your problem isn't actually caused by the patch (Which is unlikely seeing as you specifically say the problems occur after the patch.

i just realized the same thing, with my build i should be tearing wow a new ******* at 75fps all day..

now im in ghostlands and im fluctuating around 40-60..?? wtf wow

I'm still sitting at capped 60fps vsync'd.

Try windowed im at about 80-90 fps.

all high setting including max shadows mine is going from 40-60fps, and all i have is a single 4850. I am also running the gpu version folding@home while i play.
