2. The amount of heat generated by the 2 cards is dentrimental to their health as well as their overclocking potential
3. Less then 50% performance gain
4. Newer generation cards usually have far better effiency and architecture
5. Save money on non-SLI mobos
6. The new 8 series cards are too huge and current mobos seem inable to properly SLI them ( theres so little clearance between them! )
