neither of those are dual-core.. the Athlon64's are single core... but the Athlon is better.. and will probably overclock better than those stupid Netburst Pentium 4's
yeeh.. is that your CPU budget or Total budget? What is your total budget?
What do you need this pc for..
a. Just web browsing, some application
b. Light gaming (dont care about jaggies, lower rez, medium quality)
c. Video encoding, student stuff

Id have to agree with Akubane.. Id say go for the Quadcore Q6600 G0. youll be blown away mate
if your budget is $300 then go for a quad core dude. Btw akubane its cheaper on newegg, but i noticed you live in Canada and i forgot if they ship to there or not...lol.
neither ship to canada. im stuck payin over 300 for mine.
ClubIT Guarentees G0 stepping. The others dont. I got B3 from ncix 2 weeks ago >.> so lame. If you're smart and you get one get it from ClubIT unless Newegg just started to guarentee it. you might pay an extra 10$ or something but 10$ is worth the G0 stepping imo.
oh clubit was 2.50$ cheaper too lmao not liek that makes any difference.
Hmm, quad-core sounds cool for about $300 u say? nice, i'm willing to spend about $700 - $800 for everything including the graphics card and 2 GB RAM. Oh and what mobo supports quad-core?
hmm... its gonna hard be squeezing a q6600 with 800$
