What kind of web coding/language is this?

I was curious what kind of coding this is.

it shows forums on the main page and u can read the comments.

something like that, i was curious what kinda coding/language that is.

because pretty much i wanna make a website,
post up daily thoughts, or something like that, and let a person be able to comment on it

i have almost never seen a good site made without javascript.

only javascript and html? how old are you?
you can only do some little stuff which looks nice or you can annoy your visitor by 10000 million popups but thats (almost) all that javascript is good for..
you should rather learn either Java (not the same as javascript) or php.
the reason?
well, look:
javascript is only clientside
php is serverside
java is clientside and serverside (there are applets (clientside) and servlets (serverside)).
