What is the best?

I was looking to get a full anti-virus software with firewall and spyware. However I am not sure which is the best. The three main ones I know of are
-Norton (Symantec)
-Mcafee
-AVG

If you could suggest which is the best and why, I would appreciate it on my search.

the best is probably AVG or avast! for your anti-virus.. because its not a memory hog (unlike the big named companies..) and its efficient (and the rest which aren't RAM-hogs) plus they are both free..

for free it does good,
but if your willing to spend about 40-60 bucks, id say get kaspersky.
