Repairing it is not an option I can't click it. I reset my router and modem by unplugging and the flashing from enabled to unplugged stopped. When I plugged it back it it continued. It must be getting some sort of connection but then it just stops. Since it is onboard could it possilbly be a driver issue?

It is very possible. I would check for (A) any error Icons in your Device Manager. (B) Any updates from the manufacturers website.
You may even want to pick up a 10 NIC from the store and be done with it.

Can you access the router?
for linksys type 192.168.1.1 in address bar.
Try connecting without the router. Just go from cable modem to computer.

If you still can't do it directly connected to modem, call your ISP and have them test the connection, explain your problem. Try resetting the modem, by turning it off for a minute then turning it back on.
