In all actuality, you won't notice 16.2 vs. 16.7 unless you are a power photoshop user. You don't notice it at all in games and in movies it depends more on your DVD decoder and the quality of the picture and how it interacts with the video card. For instance, I get color banding when using WinDVD, but I get it much less when using Nvidia PureVideo DVD decoder. Basically what I'm saying it, if you aren't a photoshop enthusaist, you don't need to be too concerned about 6-bit vs. 8-bit, because you wont be able to tell a difference.

I have a vp191b and it has true 16.7 million colors...i thought the vp930b was the follow up to the vp191b......only better....

If they vp191b is anything like the vp930b, then it also uses 6-bit+2-bit FRC. They advertise the VP930B as an 8-bit panel in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if they also do it with the vp191b.
