I'm trying to figure out what kind of video card will work in my system. The motherboard is a Shuttle AK31 and the manual says it has a 32-bit 4X AGP slot.
Here are my questions:
1. will a card that says 4X/8X work (my last card was a 2X/4X)?
2. Does the 32-bit part refer to the memory interface, and if so do I have to get a 32-bit card, or will 64-bit, 128-bit etc. work?
I recently bought a 4X/8X 64-bit card, and my monitor puts up a message saying there's no video signal. I'm trying to decide if the card is defective and I should just exchange it, or if it's just not going to work and I need to return it and take a hit on the restocking fee.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
