OP OP T Thorn In Runtime Messages 324 Feb 21, 2009 #3 *sigh* So little sense. I added the correct partition, and it doesn't work. I get a message saying: Code: Loading new partition **useless crap** Cannot load from harddisk Insert systemdisk and press any key

OP OP T Thorn In Runtime Messages 324 Feb 22, 2009 #7 Gah. I must have messed up reinstalling the grub, because now when I try to boot XP I get "ntldr is missing" and vista won't load either. It's odd, because my boot files are back on the storage drive. pic

OP OP T Thorn In Runtime Messages 324 Feb 22, 2009 #9 Right, I can't get into Vista to do that, and I don't have the disc. The error message when trying to boot it is: Code: The following file is missing or corrupt <Windows root>\system\hal.dll Please reinstall a copy of the above file which confirms that it is the MBR. Is there any way to fix it though Ubuntu? Edit: I fixed the MBR. Now I'm back to square one. Vista and XP work, can't boot Ubuntu.
