Tried to install linux on my flash drive..

I have a 4gb usb flash drive that I bought not to long ago. I used some guide to install 7.10 onto my flash drive.. and it will boot fine as a "live cd" but when i select the option to boot and "save changes" it wont boot at all. It just shows a blinking insert line.

Does anyone know an easy way to get ubuntu working on a flash drive (possibly hardy heron?)

Yeah see i want to be able to do that, but make it "persistent" or to save my changes.

You should be able to do this in Heron as well

Well all this time.. countless tutorials and countless hours.

I have finally figured out why it never worked.. my flash drive is corrupt in several different sectors.

Probably not.. its my fault. I bought the cheapest 4gig I could find..

After a while it just refused to format.

SSD's are buggers when they go they go for good I would not use that drive for anything critical an replace it asap.
