It's more of a power stabilizer, from what I understand. Like if you were going to install a quad core processor, and you're overclocking, that 8-pin would come in handy.
I still need to know about the 8 pin connector, since its just a stabilizer for hardcore overclocking, i can just hook a 4 pin into half of it and it will work fine for 4000+ correct?

no man you got ti all wrong. The PSU comes with a "24-pin power plug, and a "4pin molex" thing as well. They are 2 different plugs.
look here at the first picture shown they label it the ATX 12V connector
Look at the pics of the abit motherboard, it has 24 pin mobo power, AND 8 pin cpu power, and the silverstone PSU has only 24 connector and 4 pni cpu connector.
hmm, never seen an 8 pin before but i'm sure they sell adapters for it, but you probably wont even need it, just plug in the 4pin it will fit into part of it.
