Stereo Mic

I want to play music through my mic without actually having to put my mic up to the speakers of my computer. Is there a way to like hook my mic and computer stereo up so that for example, if I was using VOIP and wanted to play a song for my friend without actually having to play the music through my pc speakers and holding my mic to the speakers, but instead have the music just play through the microphone connection, is there a way to set this up?

i think i understand what you're saying. but you can't play something through a mic that it's not picking up. if it's not 'hearing' the music, it won't send the music.

i don't know what kind of audio options you have or exactly how you want to go about playing music for your friend, but you can try changing the input for the program from the mic to the main mixer.

otherwise, if the music was coming from an external device, just route the headphone or aux out to the mic in on your pc.
