souncard recommendations

what's a good 5.1 soundcard to upgrade to that is decent in price? i currently have a soundblaster audigy ls in my system.

thanks! i did some research too and a lot of people praise the audigy 2 zs. but i was also trying to look to see if there are other companies that make better soundcards than creative.

m-audio is good, i checked them out too, but i heard that the newer creative cards are a little better. as for the audigy 2 zs, i have 2 questions (since you own one):

1) is the software buggy? i read that it is.
2) do you have to change any setting on the soundcard itself from the default manufacture setting to get the most out of the card?
