Ok. May-be not a prize. But, i'll be very grateful.

I just built a new PC.

Fired it up for the first time. Entered CMOS setup.
Changed BIOs to boot to floppy, to run Seagate Disk Wizard to prepare an OS installation. Ran the Diskwizard.

Go back to CMOS -

Changed Boot Squence to BOOT TO CD-ROM. Put in WINDOWS XP - OEM version.
REboot. Installation starts. Asks me if i want to install XP PRO.
I hit ENTER.

The it tells me XP can't find a hard disk. Must abort install press F3

Now, I the 80gig SATA Seagate Barracude is found in the bios and I know the power and SATA cable is hook up properly. What am i doing wrong?

Please advise..

because, you dont install windows yet. you need to choose (I think its F3) option to install other/3rd party drivers. May say RAID or SCSI or something. at that point, have the floppy in and it will get the SATA drivers off of it.
