simple Teamspeak/mic question

i dont know if this is the place to ask this or even the right website, but here goes:

ive heard Teamspeak isn't free, but what part of it ISNT free?

do you justneed to pay for THEIR servers? Can you listen/talk for free as long as you're on a privet server?

and as for a mic, is there much of a difference between a cheap and expensive mic????

an expensive mic will give you better range of frenquencies..... and less crackling.

the TeamSpeak client and server is free. The dedicated servers that are hosted at these clan hosting places you pay for........... But why pay for it, when you can host you own just as well with the free server.

Anyways just get a cheaper pair of logitech headsets. they are like 14.99 at walmart, they work pretty good.

do you need a headset or can u only get a mic and have hte sound output come out of ur speakers?

and how do u set up ur own server
