I have a computer lab of about 30 computers (29-OS 9.2.x and 1-OS X). On one of the OS 9 machines, there is a shared folder named 'Public' When more than half of the room tries to connect, it gives an error message about to many connected. Is there a way to increase the number of people allowed to use it?

Also on the OS X machine, the shared folder keeps disconnecting. Is there something I can do to elimnate this?

I have already checked all settings I am aware of, and saw nothing about the numbe of users allowed to connect.

First question has to be what kind of protocol are you using for your network? If you are using appletalk switch to TCP/IP as soon as possible.

Best solution, stop using an OS 9 machine as a server. Use the OS X one instead, the operating system is built for a multiple user environment unlike OS 9, which sadly just sucks at the whole server business...
