Im running a server on my internal network, behind a router, and i have a static ip. I want to run the server for web/game services, and configure my internal network on the domain, any good reads/ articles on this would be great. ive been reading alot, thought i would see what you guys think or have to offer.

I work for an isp and know the network admin, so i have a really good connection up and down.

Thanks

Just buy a domain and point it at your IP.

1and1.com :) You won't have to worry about DNS and ****.

I'm planning on doing the same when i have time and a block of IP addresses so have also been reading in the area too. Without doubt the best resource i have come across is oreilly's book on DNS and BIND http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/05...f=pd_bbs_1/002-1742473-2475230?_encoding=UTF8 i've got an earlier edition and it is a very good book, it gives you a really good understanding of how the whole system works, but also gives examples and step by step guides on how to get it all up and running. I'd be interested to hear how it goes and any issues you encounter, keep us posted.
