I just checked my ports in the deveice manager, and i saw that i have 13 different COM ports(2 communications ports and 11 bluetooth serial ports), but there seems to be IRQ's issued to only COM1 and COM2. the bluetoothe serial ports dont have any IRQ's associated with them?
i guess the I/O range is the address of the serial port. the address on communications port is 03F8-03FF, why a range of address, why not a single address (would each address location 0xf8, o3f9, o3fa,..) hold a single byte received fro mthe buffer?
where would we have a PCI based serial port?
