Satellite A55-S1064 Help

I have the above mentioned laptop and a while ago it stopped working and at first glance it looked like a HD malfunction so i replaced the HD with one from an external i formated, i started the laptop and tryed to load the windows OS from CD and i get the message that windows is loading necessary files and the bar fills up doing its job when the bar fills up the laptop shits down completely and almost instantly. so i reinstalled the original HD and tryed it with that just to see and the same exact thing happened, this is both with the power supply cord plugged in and not plugged in. does anyone know what could be causing this problem or can point me in the right direction that would be outstanding.
