no component will give you the best quality but only for hdtv chanels/shows or dvds.

svideo will be better out of the 2 if you are planning to only watch normal definition tv.

svideo will beat component in normal definition tv but component will beat svideo in hdtv.

so it all depends on what your gonna do

There probably talking about the component that has the blue/green/red or w/e them colors are that is the best.

If you have an older cheaper TV then it really wont matter... But IMO Composite (the one thats yellow) is worse, then S-Video, then the component... And to be honest there is no difference between the actual cables that you use on composite connections and the component connections..

My T.V does have the componet connections and so does my home theater. So I'm going to pick up some component cables.
