Hi, so I just reformatted my computer and I kind of just reformatted out of the blue (with backing up data of course).
One thing I wasn't sure about doing was deleting a partition. Instead of doing that, I selected my one and only existing partition, and chose to over-write it.
Does this cause any problem?

No need to delete the partition, as long as you formated the one partition you have then installed the OS you'll be fine.

As long as it went through the 'Formatting drive' part of the setup, you won't have any problems. You don't need to delete the partition and then format, not required to do so.

Just make sure you reinstall all of your drivers like joeten said (although keyboard/mice usually install of of USB drivers, or have drivers they install when you plug them in ;)).
