Hello. I need to know if the guy who installed the wall jack into my room did it right.
When I openend it up I noticed he had it upside down.
Also, there are 4 sections with two screws in each for connecting a wire.
The sections are labeled BK, W, R, C, BL, and Y.
The cat3 cable has two sets of wires in it.
He's got a blue wire from the cat3 cable connected to one screw in the C port and a Blue-White wire connecting to one screw in the R port.
I've got DSL by the way and I'm having some internet probs. This probably has absolutely nothing to do with it but I just want to make sure.
Anyway, did he install it right?
Also, what's the best brand of cat3 cables?
