I have tried emulators to try to run my PS2 games on my computer last month because I did not have a TV. I have tried 2 different ones, and very few of the games actually booted up at all. Both emulators are easy find with google and free to download. I got the original SSX and the original Burnout to boot up. (Very old games) and even with a P4 comp with 1GB or RAM and a decent video card The emulation was running at a vey low frame rate and the games were not playable because both games are fast paced.
PS2 has very crappy hardware compared to modern computers, but it was built for games and functions very differently from PC's. Thats why it takes a lot of resources to emulate the system on a computer.
Maybe you will have better luck, and get something to work.
