Powerpoint problem... help please

I have an employee that uses power point in the office and at home. When she is home her power point crashes and gives a, "Program needs to be debugged" only when she opens her saved decks.

Any other files opened by power point do not cause this issue. To further complicate this problem, it only occurs when she is working remotely.

Is she using the same version of power point as home as in the office? When you say working remotely is she using terminal server or just emailing files?

She is using a laptop that she takes from the branch to her home. Shes connected by vpn.

So same computer, files on a network server, only difference is accessing the file server from local network vs. vpn. How large are the .ppt files? sometimes you can have issues with large files over vpn. A possible workaround could be to have her synchronize her documents from my documents to a server location. Then she could work on them locally from home and then have the synchronized when she is back in the office.
