LOL, i have a dell dimension 4600 with the same exact psu that he has.

I've been running
P4 2.4ghz
1gb ram
evga 6800 vanilla 16/6
2x40gb hdd's.

All of that for over 4 months now. There psu's are actually very very good. Theres also plenty of people who run a 6800gt on the same psu, with more ram and a faster cpu.

So i recommend a 6800gs.

if your gonna get a new psu better get it from dell , dell uses proprietary parts in most cases, not only the psu have special form factor (a non dell psu wont fit in the case) it also have a special atx pin layout http://www.quepublishing.com/articles/article.asp?p=339053&rl=1 and naturally the mobo is compatible with that atx layout so if youll get a new non-dell psu it will fry the mobo and possibly other parts aswell

Yeah I know about that problem, although you can get an adapter at this website for using a standard atx psu with a dell mobo.

And about not fitting in the case, does the width of the case have to equal the width of the psu or what's the story?
