I have zonealarm as well. I went into zonealarm and unchecked every single program that is allowed access, and I have come to the conclusion that everytime I let windows explorer access the internet, it will bring up an IE pop up. Now, isn't windows explorer like one of the main processes on a computer? I can't just uninstall it.

EricB, nothing yahoo will ever touch my computer, my daughters use yahoo all the time and their comps are cluttered with viruses and spyware, anything with the word toolbar is not allowed. But, I will be checking out spyware blaster, thanks for that suggestion.

isnt jusched.exe or w/e under the java thing a virus?

All i know was, it was threatning on my Pc, and it had a shorlived life for some reason.

I block window explorer in zonealarm from accessing the internet. it report back to microsoft on what you are doing. it is inhouse spyware

alright then, next time it pops up asking windows explorer to grant access, i will click the box "remember this setting" and then click deny. i'll post back if any more IE popups appear.

I also have spyware blaster now and set it to block most things that deal with IE. I haven't found out how to scan with it yet though.

it don't scan your computer. it blocks spyware site from coming on your computer.

it actually works better if you install it after a fresh install. I installed it on my neighbor's computer (his computer was hijack by everybody. hundred on spyware, he couldn't even use his computer as cpu usage alway stayed at 100%). when I got done and it block all of his spyware sites, his computer wouldn't boot. I reinstall windows and spyware blaster for him. his computer is fine now

aight then, well it's set for now, i don't plan on doing a fresh install unless needed because this comp is only three months old and carefully maintained by myself.
