I have received no help for 3 days from other tech forum, so I'm asking please if anyone can help me. There are several issues. Please look at my hjt in the next post.

My other issue is when I boot up my pc, I get a message "please reinstall preformance center"

Also, when I try to open up firefox, get an error message "Firefox is already running, but no responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing firefox or restart your syste". I have already restarted my pc and went into the process tab of the task manager and killed my firefox session and I'm still getting the message. I also get this same message even when firefox is NOT in the process tab.

I wud suggest uninstalling McAfee and use AVG Free

Go to start, run, type msconfig, press enter. Go to the startup, click disable all, then recheck your antivirus and reboot.

Then run ccleaner and cleanup and post a new log:D
 
Thank You soooooo much for replying. :) Ok, I have removed the entries that you suggested and uninstalled McAfee and installed AVG Free. I then ran ccleaner and cleanup and posted a new hjt in the next post.

I am still having issues with the following:

(1) When I try to open up firefox, get an error message "Firefox is already running, but no responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing firefox or restart your syste". I have already restarted my pc and went into the process tab of the task manager, I don't see any firefox session at all.

(2) When I boot up my pc, I get a message "please reinstall preformance center".

(3) When I do a search in this forum and click "advanc search", nothing happens.

Help!!!!!
 
Reinstall FF to see if that corrects that issue

What is Performace Center? Check to see if its in the Add/Remove programs or under start, run, type msconfig, press enter. Go to the startup tab, click disable all, recheck your antivirus, then reboot.
 
When I tried to remove Performance center in the add/remove programs, its says "Please insert disk 1 that contains the file data2.cab". I don't even have the disk for this. So, how can this be removed?

Also, I have already uninstalled/reinstalled firefox, rebooted and still I am getting that error message ""Firefox is already running, but no responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing firefox or restart your system".

These 2 issues started when my pc got infected.
 
Google the error message, theres lots of info on this, seems to be an issue with lots of people.

About the performace, go to the Program Files and see if you see the folder in there, if so delete it, or delete in safemode if it dont let you.
