That's one way to go about thing's. It's like trying to get a lead weight to not sink without using any floatation device, so they take the water away.."hey look, now it will never sink"

if the lead weigh is thin enough, and bowl shaped with a large base and high edges, it would not sink

Actually just cause it has the name lead weight doesnt mean it doesnt have that shape.

As long as it is lead and it has weight it can have any shape you desire.
